Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit Reception staff to work in our busy Minor Injury Unit at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital. Various hours available, majority of which will be evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
The Minor Injury Unit is open 7 days a week 8am-8pm. You will join a friendly team who provides a variety of Reception and Administrative duties to assist the smooth running of the Department.
The successful candidates will support the patient and visitor flow with daily admin duties within the Minor Injury Unit, which will include arriving patients on the computer system, directing patients to relevant Departments, you must demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner maintaining confidentiality at all times. A good standard of education is required, previous experience of working in an admin / customer service setting and have excellent communication skills.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team and be efficient and organised with your own workload.

This role requires you to have current right to work in the UK which enables you to undertake the role without need of sponsorship. Given the current UK immigration regulations this role is not eligible for sponsorship and therefore it is not possible for the Trust to sponsor applicants., The main duties are:
Meet and greet visitors, contractors, couriers and delivery personnel
Maintain a professional demeanour
Able to multi-task and think on your feet
Scanning, photocopying, laminating, uploading of documents
Report any faulty equipment to facilities
Ensure Reception is clean and tidy
Keep noticeboards up to date
Answer incoming phone calls from patients, relatives and other outside agencies
Direct visitors to different departments as appropriate
Support general in person enquiries at the desk
Dealing with car parking queries
