Full Job Description

Applications are invited from candidates who are suitably experienced in reception duties to join our Urgent Treatment Centre at North Tyneside General Hospital. You will provide an efficient administration and clerical service to staff, visitors and patients attending the Urgent Treatment Centre., To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other health care professionals.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. High quality patient care is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to ensure every single patient and service user has an exceptional experience with us. We have one of the most extensive patient experience programmes of any trust in England.

To provide an efficient administration and clerical service to unit staff, visitors and patients for emergency attenders, soft tissue and associated out-patient clinics.

To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals.

To facilitate good communication with other wards and departments involved in patient care or ward/departmental functioning.

The post holder must be able to use their own initiative, work under pressure, have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. You should have strong keyboard skills and have a knowledge of IT packages and their applications., Disability Confident
