Receptionist (Patient Services Officer)

We have one position available for the role of a 12 month fixed-term receptionist, commonly known at Lion Health as Patient Services Officers.

The hours for this role will consist of the below:

Monday 14.00 - 19.00

Tuesday 13.00 - 18.00

Wednesday DAY OFF

Thursday 08.00 - 18.30

Friday 14.00 - 18.30

Total 24.5 hours, This is a fast paced environment and we are looking for a team player. The Patient Services Officer (PSO) will act as a first point of contact for anyone accessing the Practice. To thrive in this role, the post holder will need to enjoy the challenge of dealing with patient issues and queries. They will be required to display empathy and understanding and use exceptional problem solving skills, combined with a passion for helping and assisting others. Furthermore, the post holder will also enjoy working closely as a team to achieve shared objectives and ensure daily priorities are delivered. Patients expect a high standard of healthcare and outstanding customer service, so working as a team to meet and manage these expectations is important.

Lion Health has a registered population of around 28,000 patients and has a dedicated team of GPs, ANP's, Physicians Associates, Paramedics, Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants therefore this role is crucial in supporting the general running of a busy Practice.

Regular duties within this role will be dealing with telephone, face to face and electronic queries, booking and/or amending patient appointments, contacting patients to provide information from the clinical team and assisting patients to access our services and those available in the wider community. The roles and responsibilities may change according to the business requirements.
