Full Job Description
The Receptionist and SOTC Administrator role encompasses a wide variety of duties and will require the successful applicant to provide a comprehensive, efficient and accurate, administrative service. The post holder will manage their own workload and act on an independent basis as required - this includes adhering to the Access Policy, Waiting Time Targets and Partial Booking., This post is split between reception work and providing administrative support to the Inpatient Admissions Team. This includes providing a friendly and efficient reception service for all visitors to the Unit whilst ensuring the area is well maintained, patient registration, booking follow-up appointments, clinic preparation, completing admissions/outcomes/coding, booking day case procedures and loading inpatient referrals onto PAS. The post holder will be required to work as part of the inpatients and outpatient's team as well as with clinical staff to deliver the highest standards of administrative support possible for all patients and staff.
The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. Computer competence, strong customer care, communication, attention to detail and team working skills are all required.
