Full Job Description

We have a exciting opportunity for a enthusiastic and passionate qualified mental health professional (OT, RMN, SW) trainer to work alongside our peer trainers to develop within The Discovery Project our Children and Young person Recovery Education offer for upto 22.5 hours a week., The primary focus of this role will be on the Discovery Project. The project works in partnership alongside children and young people, their families and carers, staff, services, schools and VSCEs to build capacity and understanding in Recovery through Co-Production, Lived Experience and Recovery Education.
You will be required to work as part of The Discovery Project team, supported by the Recovery Education Lead and the Wellbeing and Recovery Partnership.
The role includes co-producing and co-delivering courses with peer specialists, providing contemporary specialist advice on areas of new developments, best practice and initiatives in Recovery Education.
We are looking for someone with an understanding of personal recovery, how personal recovery relates to clinical recovery and recognition of how the educational process supports mental health recovery.
Our main office base is in Bournemouth however, the service is pan Dorset and so travel is essential to the role.

The Discovery Project is a partnership service between Dorset HealthCare and Dorset Mental Health Forum; this is known as the Wellbeing and Recovery Partnership. The partnership brings together lived experience of Trauma, Mental Health issues and Emotional Distress with professional, clinical, and learned expertise.
