All staff we be expected to complete ILS/PLS if never done before or an update as per trust policy.

• Participate under the supervision of the specialist core team members in the planning, delivery and evaluation of care for all patients during the peri-operative period (utilising and adapting transferable skills acquired during training.)
• With support from Senior practitioners, act as lead for team during their delivery of care within specific operating lists.
• Maintain accurate records of the theatre episodes in line with trust/departmental policy.
• Promote the safety, well being and interests of patients, staff and visitors to the clinical area.
• Promote clinical governance by actively participating in the risk management process within the Trust.
• Value and respect individuals by actively adopting the Trust core values and behaviour's.

A full training package is offered with the area's educational team and a six month period of working alongside an experienced member of staff. The role includes weekends and nights but not until competency is evidenced.
