Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established Recovery & Rehabilitation Service in Exeter. The post holder will be responsible for the effective operational management of the Recovery & Rehabilitation Team RRT comprising the intensive inpatient, intensive community and ongoing community and rehabilitation phases of the pathway. They will use effective leadership, change management and team building skills to improve the mental, physical, and social health of those with complex psychosis through the monitoring, evaluation and development of the service provided, and setting standards for care and medicine management. They will have responsibility for the line management of staff and the financial and performance management of the service. In conjunction with the Community Services Manager the post holder will work to engender a recovery focused culture which prioritises social inclusion by means of collaborative care planning and psychosocial interventions, using the principles of positive risk management, new ways of working and appropriate clinical pathways. It is not envisaged that this post will carry a caseload, however, an individuals job plan may include clinical work.,

  • Service Delivery & resource management
  • In partnership with the team consultant psychiatrist, be responsible and accountable for the operational service delivery of the RRT.
  • Be responsible for the management of RRT resources to deliver services which meet the required financial performance and quality standards, working effectively with the LDU management team as required.
  • Monitor and deliver Health & Social Care performance standards through team dashboards
  • Agree and implement a budget plan to support the service plan
  • Devise and implement performance and workforce management arrangements.
  • Line Management responsibilities
  • Ensure that all staff are appropriately supervised and appraised and that opportunities for Continuous Professional Development are identified and maximised
  • Take responsibility for the selection, appointment and retention of team members.
  • Operationally manage staff attendance, sickness and annual leave for the team
  • Ensure safe and effective staffing levels, adhering to inpatient safer staffing standards
