Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for mental health and community support? Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham, and Redbridge is searching for an outstanding individual to serve as a Service Manager. This role involves managing and leading the Tower Hamlets Recovery and Wellbeing Service, based in our beautiful location, Open House in Tower Hamlets.

Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham & Redbridge is a local Mind association and community mental health charity. We endeavour to support people with mental health and emotional challenges to access the right service and support at the right time.

Our vision is a society where everyone is accepted and included; where there is no stigma or discrimination towards people because of mental health issues; and where our clients' needs and ambitions are supported.

We provide support services- including for those in crisis, to raise awareness and deliver activities, groups and events through our work in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge. We work closely with other organisations to ensure we deliver a high-quality and diverse range of services to people in the local area.

About the Role

Role Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Inspire your team: Your leadership will foster a positive, resilient, and effective team culture. Of our Recovery and Well-being Service in Tower Hamlets, alongside some smaller contracts, ensuring that all commissioning targets and KPIs are met.

  • Develop excellence in service delivery: Ensure all contract requirements, including KPIs and client satisfaction, are achieved through effective and considered performance management, with a focus on continuous improvement


  • Promoting and delivering a Recovery-Focused Service: Implement and champion recovery-oriented practices that empower service users to achieve their personal goals and improve their well-being.

    Service Delivery: Demonstrable experience working within a service delivery organisation with co-production as the golden thread through your work

  • Safeguarding: Robust and demonstrable safeguarding in practice awareness and skills.

  • Community Engagement and Outreach: Proven ability to proactively and successfully co-produce with 'seldom heard communities' ensuring services are culturally sensitive and appropriate, including but not limited to racialised communities, faith communities, LGBTQ+ communities, and other marginalised groups.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven successful experience in leadership and people management and ability to sustain trusting relationships with service users /peers and professionals.


  • Planning, Prioritisation and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to plan, monitor and evaluate services, to ensure that they are responsive to the needs of the clients, meet their purpose and fulfil the service specification.
