Recreation Assistant - Bournemouth

BH Live is recruiting for Recreation Assistants to join our Recreation team at BH Live Active, Pelhams. A vibrant community hub, the team at Pelhams works closely with the local community and health groups to provide fitness and social activities for all. Swimming facilities include two pools with lane swimming, public swim sessions, pool-based classes, fun for young people, lessons and more. There is also a sauna for post-workout relaxation., We are ideally looking for someone who already holds an NPLQ qualification but if you haven't, BH Live is one of the only employers to offer a fully funded National Pool Lifeguard Qualification & training (subject to a successful interview and swim test). This is a nationally recognised qualification and will supply you with lifelong skills, such as self-confidence, teamwork as well as the ability to save lives.

You will:

Work poolside and be the main point of contract for our customers.

Ensure our customers are kept safe and comply with the centre rules.

Erect, dismantle and move equipment.

Clean the centre and equipment.

Be vigilant and supervise people who are using the pool and centre facilities.

Ideally you will have your NPLQ qualification, but this is not essential.

Great customer service skills, initiative and be able to remain calm under pressure.
