Full Job Description
We have an opportunity for an experienced midwife to come and join our recruitment and retention team., To support Newly Qualified Midwives (NQM) in their preceptorship programme, lead on recruitment of midwifery staff and implement strategies for retaining current staff, supporting current staff in post with professional development.
To enable enhanced supernumerary support to newly qualified midwives and return to midwifery practice learners, focusing on retention and pastoral support alongside existing ward managers, practice educators and professional midwifery advocates (PMA)
To enable the midwives to achieve the aims and outcomes of the preceptorship programme and professional development plans.
To support with the evaluation of the preceptorship programme and adapt accordingly, measuring the effectiveness and impact of preceptorship programmes on retention and recruitment.
To work with the midwives to enhance their experience, build confidence and establish a strong foundation for their future career.
