Full Job Description

We are looking for a flexible part time administrator to join our growing admin team at Peace Children's Centre for Children's Specialist Services (CSS). The Administration Hubs within our team provides essential administrative support to the clinical teams. The post holder will work as part of a team of administrators to answer patient telephone calls and enter referral data and book initial appointments for Children's Specialist Services using SystmOne. The team is also responsible for directing each referral to the appropriate clinical team. This role will involve working flexibly across our administration teams within Children's Specialist Services to cross-cover as required., We work in partnership with colleagues across NHS, social care, education, charities and local government helping people to maintain their independence for as long as possible and making sure people get the right care in the right place at the right time.   • The post holder will be working as part of a busy team of administrators and the role requires a high level of computer and telephone work, with access to a wide range of different systems and information.
  • Processing written referrals onto our clinical system
  • Taking telephone calls from patients and other health care professionals.
  • Dealing with enquiries in a helpful and efficient manner
  • Offering a high level of service to all our patients
  • Working closely with hub triage teams to ensure patient care is delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Working with local service teams to complete required tasks and activities
  • Working well as a team under pressure in a busy environment
  • Sharing information and escalating issues as appropriate
  • Identifying innovative ways of working

  • Undertake a range of administration tasks, including processing referrals and letters
  • Answer incoming calls, dealing with enquiries from patients, families and professionals with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ensure accurate and relevant information is recorded on our clinical system database
