Refuse and Recycling Driver

Gateshead Council is seeking to appoint a number of Refuse and Recycling Drivers to join the Waste and Technical team. The role involves undertaking refuse and recycling collections as a driver and a labourer.

Basic numeracy and literacy skills in line with the requirement of the role.
Good customer service skills.
The ability to demonstrate good communication skills.

Experience of working in a customer focused service.
Experience of working in an operational environment.
Experience of driving refuse and recycling vehicles.
Demonstrable experience of being committed and passionate about service delivery.
Demonstrable experience of flexibility adaptiveness to work.

Qualifications:

Full UK Drivers Licence.
LGV Class 2 (Category C licence).
Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

This is a four day service working Tuesday to Friday 7:30 - 17:15.
