Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Regional Procurement Director to oversee our procurement operations across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that drive cost savings, efficiency improvements, and supplier relationship management.

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with overall business objectives and EMEA region-specific requirements. Desirable knowledge and networks within chemicals industry, and preferably strong experience to develop category strategies and drive savings in indirect procurement categories in the areas of transportation, 3PL warehousing, Capex.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with agreements and performance metrics.
  • Cost Savings Initiatives: Identify opportunities for cost reduction, value creation, and process optimization within the procurement function.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and regulatory compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Set up, lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals across the EMEA region, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure alignment and support for procurement initiatives.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to inform procurement strategy and decision-making.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and metrics to track procurement performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive accountability.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, promoting ethical conduct and integrity in all procurement activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Strong on procurement processes and able to understand across key aspects of Supply Chain including Planning, Logistics, Warehousing and drive process improvements and simplification.

    Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field;
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven work experience in procurement leadership roles, preferably within a multinational corporation or global organization and ideally within chemicals/ingredients industry.
  • Deep understanding of procurement best practices, market dynamics, and supply chain management principles.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving cost savings and value creation through supplier relationships.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching, development, and empowerment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable procurement strategies.
