We are now looking to fill this permanent position and for the right candidate to be based within a commutable distance to Chippenham. The right candidate will be responsible for the continuous growth, development and profitability of the After Sales and Hire business for for the Northern part of the UK. HUBER Technology is an "Investors in People" Gold company which specialises in environmental engineering throughout the world, and with a UK operation based in Chippenham focused on delivering wastewater treatment solutions for the UK water industry. Based from our regional depot in Chippenham, the role requires strong leadership to manage a variety of responsibilities to ensure the support of HUBER Technology's service provision and equipment installed throughout the North of the UK. The day to day management of a small team of Field Service Technicians is also part of this role. The role requires a candidate with a good Mechanical / Electrical Engineering background, ideally qualified to a HNC level or equivalent, who possesses the commercial acumen and drive to successfully manage the strategic and operational aspects of this position. The right candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and will enjoy working closely and professionally with internal and external customers. Your core responsibilities are as follows:

  • Take a pro-active role in promoting HUBER Technology's solutions to existing and new customers with the aim to support the Area Sales Manager on sales of new equipment and installations.
  • Identify new customers and business opportunities to lead to further equipment / spares and hire sales.
  • Attend sites to inspect HUBER machines and to provide service inspection reports to generate quotations/ service proposals.
  • Pro-actively follow up on quotations and convert into sales.
  • Advise customers on the best solution of HUBER Technology's products.
  • Liaise with the Contracts Engineer and Installation Supervisor to optimise the co-ordination of resource requirements for service, installations and commissioning in your region.
  • Be responsible for the Regional Installation Supervisor and the delivery of installations at a regional level to the customer.
  • Work closely with the Field Operations Manager to continuously develop the regional business plan.
  • Ensure regional activities and budgetary control is sustainable for growth and delivery of After Sales.
  • Liaise with other Regional Field Managers to share and optimise the use of spare resources between operational regions., 1. Profitability of projects

Continually maintain and develop good levels of team performance and morale A clean driving licence is vital to the role.

  • You ideally will have completed a formal qualification in a Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering discipline
  • You can demonstrate a practical approach to engineering to develop the right solution that meets customer requirements
  • You will have good verbal and written communication skills
  • You will enjoy the detail of technical aspects as well as commercial aspects of this role
  • You will ideally have gained experience in a dynamic engineering and client interfacing environment and are able to work on multiple projects to a given deadline
  • You will enjoy working with a variety of people and you are confident in your ability to build relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • You need to be conversant with an internal ERP system after a period of training.
  • Ideally you will have worked in a fast paced engineering/ manufacturing/ maintenance environment. The role requires somebody who enjoys diversity whilst working in a structured job environment with the opportunity to become a technical expert on HUBER products and processes, as well as interfacing with different internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will have a flexible attitude towards handling the different aspects of the role and be able to demonstrate leadership in a fast paced environment. As the right candidate, you will be highly self-motivated and driven to get things done, conscientious and resourceful, with strong organisational skills and sense of ownership of the responsibilities given. As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate initiative and diligence towards detail whilst managing multiple priorities.
