Regional Head of Claims UK

The Impact You Will Have Based in London and reporting to the Managing Director of Allianz Commercial, you will develop and execute the Claims regional strategy and proactively support the development of the global claims strategy. You will also lead and manage the regional Claims team. Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Actively contribute to the development and implementation of the UK Strategy as part of the Regional Executive Management Team, ensuring alignment with overall regional objectives.
• Engage in the formulation of the global Claims strategy as part of the Global Claims leadership, and ensure its successful execution within the regional context.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with brokers and clients to enhance business opportunities and client satisfaction.
• Ensure that the organizational structure and processes are optimally designed and managed to effectively serve both external and internal customers, enhancing overall service delivery and outcomes.
• Ensure that reserving levels are efficient, effective, and adhere to Allianz Commercial reserving standards, thereby supporting financial stability and accuracy.
• Personally lead and support negotiations on large losses and key client interactions, ensuring favorable outcomes and maintaining strong client relationships., You will have expert understanding of regional / local LoB insurance markets and competitor landscape, as well as the legal and regulatory framework
  
  You will have significant experience in a Claims management position, as well as proven experience in leading direct teams internationally and within complex matrix environment
• You have a sound understanding in relevant products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages
• You have knowledge of claims handling process from notification to settlement and recovery
• You have strong knowledge of reserving principles and practices; robust understanding of coinsurance and reinsurance and application
• You have understanding of relevant legal processes and procedures, litigation management, litigation avoidance techniques (e.g. mediation)
• You will be well recognised in your relationship building with brokers at peer group level and well established within local market
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as proven experience in analysing complex data
