As the Regional Manufacturing Excellence Manager , you will manage Plant based Manufacturing Excellence Specialist in the deployment of a lean based Manufacturing excellence model to ensure standardization, operational excellence and significant value across specific What will you be responsible for?

  • Support and manage key assignments and improvement efforts as needed including deployment strategy, planning, training, coaching, problem solving, project management, people development and resource development.
  • Facilitates change and supports deployment, adoption and sustainment of Lean thinking and a standard Lean-Based Management System within specific Ball region.
  • Identify, clarify, and resolve barriers to achieving operational excellence in Manufacturing plants/Regional production groups.
  • Lead multiple strategic and operational improvement projects from identification, inception, and analysis to implementation and sustainable execution that delivers Manufacturing cost savings.
  • Drive successful evolution of and execution on Manufacturing Excellence Model to be the most competitive in cost, quality and service by continually driving for efficiencies in our processes.
  • Deliver on the organizations priorities, working closely with leadership in defining, scoping, launching, and implementing new initiatives. Collaborate with decision makers and stakeholders to minimize risk.
  • Facilitates and makes complex decisions and recommendations under limited direction and uses a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the specific Ball Region manufacturing team.
  • Manage risk by effectively and clearly communicating project effort, progress, achievements, problems and failures on a timely basis.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing by initiating best practice sharing and benchmarking within the Hub and outwardly to the Region by liaising with the other Sub-Regional CI Leaders.

    University degree education in Science, Engineering or Business (Desirable) or NVQ Level 6
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in deployment of Lean methodologies in a manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated portfolio of leading lean project management
  • At least Six Sigma Green Belt certificate
  • Black Belt Certified desirable
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, constantly seeing to understand how to engage and involve different individuals
  • Able to build trust between, and align, disparate groups across and beyond the organization
  • Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization
  • Previous experience with managing the team and managing various stakeholders in matrix organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Computer literate (MS Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
