Full Job Description

The South West Neonatal Network has an exciting opportunity for two experienced neonatal educators to join the regional network team in a part time capacity.

The post holders will collaboratively design and deliver regional education programmes, including a new regional neonatal nursing Qualified in Specialty course.

The Network aims to improve the family experiences, clinical outcomes and quality standards within neonatal care, encouraging continuity and consistency across the region.

The successful post holders will be passionate about enhancing the experience of neonatal staff and the families who use neonatal services, through delivery and promotion of education, learning and development.

The Network has an office in Myrtle Road, Bristol. Home working is available. Travel across the South West will occasionally be required, to support delivery of educational events and workshops.,

  • The post holder will form part of the SWNN Education team and will contribute to the development and delivery of a regional strategy for workforce, training and education.

  • Use expert knowledge of neonatal care and of education strategies to implement the network wide framework for neonatal education and training.

  • Utilise senior education expertise to contribute to the wider membership of the SWNN through the delivery of education and training.

  • Support the monitoring and reporting of qualified in speciality (QIS) training requirements for the region.

  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Nurse for Education to deliver a regional Neonatal QIS programme as part of a formal partnership agreement.

  • Work collaboratively with the Lead Nurse for Education to deliver the regional Neonatal Foundation Programme

  • Work collaboratively with the wider SWNN officers to support the delivery of stand alone training events, for example but not limited to; Neonatal Education Forum, Neonatal Network Conferences and clinical skills days., young people and vulnerable adults.
