This role ensures excellent implementation of best practices in line with our company philosophy and ethos. Covering early childhood quality monitoring, action planning, and implementation across the business, it provides face-to-face guidance, advice, and support to Regional Business Managers, Area Managers, and Nursery Managers. This support is crucial for achieving the best outcomes for children and securing at least a "Good" rating in Ofsted inspections. Expertise in statutory legislation is essential to implement and deliver through our management teams, ensuring early intervention to address issues before they escalate.
What You'll Be Doing
- Be the Designated Safeguarding Lead for a region of nurseries.
- Deliver quality and compliance, curriculum planning, and uphold our philosophy and ethos.
- Report safeguarding, Ofsted, and compliance issues to Quality Business Partners.
- Collaborate with the Operations Excellence team to implement quality initiatives and advocate for outstanding quality in new settings.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Implement and cascade updates and changes to compliance and quality policies.
- Plan and conduct quality and compliance audits with Area Managers and Nursery Managers.
- Deliver early childhood and quality awareness sessions to the Learning and Development team.
- Work with the Head of Quality and Early Years Education on organisational planning processes.

- Produce reports on audit and inspection outcomes for senior management.
- Maintain RAG rating spreadsheets and prepare Ofsted notification and RIDDOR reports.
- Identify settings with potential for Outstanding ratings and develop strategies to achieve this.
How You'll Succeed - What Does Success Look Like?
Success means maintaining clear, accountable records for safeguarding and child protection issues, ensuring timely Ofsted notifications, and keeping Area and Nursery Managers well-informed on early childhood and quality updates. Policies should be effectively cascaded, and processes for mock inspections and audits must allow for timely support measures. You will ensure robust SEN provision and funding utilisation, and maintain up-to-date SEND policies and early intervention processes. This support will help nurseries achieve Good or Outstanding ratings in inspections.

- At least 3 years of experience in a field-based role supporting Area Managers/Nursery Managers with the Statutory Framework.
- Experience helping a nursery achieve an Outstanding Ofsted grade within the past 3 years.
- A childcare qualification at level 3 or above.
- An excellent understanding of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
