Full Job Description
- Independently prepare hot and cold meals for residents according to their needs and preferences
- Assist in planning seasonal menus
- Assist with event planning and execution
- Carry out any reasonable request or instruction from the Catering and Hospitality Manager
- Understanding and experience working with the IDDSI framework
- Assist with training and development of staff
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Policy and regulations
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment to EHO standards
- Carry out checks in the kitchen as required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, for example recording fridge temperatures
- Have full knowledge of and take responsibility to ensure adherence to infection control policies and procedures of the Department of Health and the company at all times
- Report all accidents and incidents to the Person-in-Charge of the Home
- Have full knowledge of the fire procedures, fire escapes and a working knowledge of the fire-fighting equipment

- IDDSI experience is essential - familiarity with preparing and serving dysphagia-friendly meals
- Certificate Level II in Food Safety and Hygiene
- Knowledge of nutritional needs of older people
