This role can be based in either London or Warsaw in EMEA As part of the Account's Global Risk and Compliance team, the Regional Risk and Compliance Director is responsible for developing, deploying, supporting, and managing the Account's Risk and Compliance Strategy, as well as managing overall risk to JLL and the client across the client's EMEA portfolio. Goals (but not limited to):

  • Key member of the Global Risk and Compliance Team, helping continuously improve, set, and execute our Global Risk and Compliance Platform and Strategy
  • Accountable for successful development, implementation, and management of the account's Risk and Compliance platform and strategy across the EMEA region
  • Delivery of education and understanding of the program by the regional and country JLL teams
  • Successful delivery of the contract requirements
  • Resolution of delivery issues with the affected managers/sites
  • Promote a positive, proactive culture of risk and compliance across the account
  • Continual Global and Regional monitoring, assessment, and reporting of account compliance/risk health with trending positive results, minimization of costly errors
  • What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Accountable for overall risk and compliance performance across the EMEA portfolio for all services provided to our client. Also accountable for global performance of key assigned programs.
  • Incident Management process management, education, and compliance. Review trending of incidents, including root cause analysis and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Business Continuity Planning (BCP) process management, education, and compliance. Ensure routine testing and documentation is in place and that teams are educated and complying with requirements.
  • Support compliance with Ethics, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption, and Modern Slavery programs within your region through education, assurance, and incident management.
  • Support compliance with information security and data privacy programs within your region.
  • Understand client policy and contractual requirements, acting as the single point of contact within the region to educate, identify, and address scope alignment issues in partnership with regional and global management. Provide technical guidance to both client and JLL teams.
  • Monitor compliance to the contract, statutory requirements, policies and procedures through risk assessments and sampling.
  • Lead the Risk Champion program within your region.
  • Manage a Risk Register within your region, ensuring timely closure of action plans to mitigate risks to an acceptable level.
  • Meet regularly with the Client, Country, Regional, and Global JLL leadership to provide assurance and advice on various risk and compliance matters.
  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of high-level risk events, including legal, sensitive incidents, and insurance claims, liaising with clients, leadership, suppliers, legal, and risk management as required.
  • Establish and implement necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality, risk, and compliance issues across the Account.
  • Manage and support special projects, as required.
  • Ensure Risk and Compliance training is delivered within your area of responsibility
  • Support the supplier risk and compliance programs in conjunction with global and regional sourcing and supplier management teams (SCCP).
  • Build tools, policies, and best practices in support of all deliverables.
  • Respond to all ad hoc inquiries and deliverables regarding operational risk and compliance inquiries.

  • Successful leadership of continuous improvement projects, to be assigned and agreed individually
  • Global and Regional Compliance to established JLL Audits, Client Audits, and other compliance reviews
  • Leadership of the Risk Champion program regionally, evidenced by active engagement across all countries
  • Improvement in relevant account key risk indicators and Super KPI results
  • Contributes to the growth of the account and firm through collaboration and best practice sharing across the team, accounts, and JLL corporate

    Self-motivated team player, with the ability to work independently without direct instruction and in a highly matrixed team, influencing multi-cultural and highly geographically dispersed teams remotely
  • Proven Leadership, with the ability to work with clients, higher level managers, as well as site facility and engineering managers
  • Must have a pragmatic and cost-effective approach to risk and compliance management while ensuring high bank requirements are fully met
  • In-depth knowledge, understanding, and ability to apply risk and compliance concepts, theories, and principles
  • Strong interpersonal skills including perseverance, influencing, persuading & negotiation skills
  • Problem Solving, including the ability to use strong logic and linkage of related data points to solve problems and create effective new solutions
  • At least 3-5 years management experience within a risk, compliance, legal, audit, or related field
  • Broad acumen of corporate real estate / facilities management processes and services (e.g., engineering, facilities management, health and safety, project management, etc.); exposure to other corporate areas, such as procurement, finance, information technology, etc., a plus
  • Practical working knowledge of risk management frameworks and processes
  • Experience advising senior management at policy level
  • Significant practical experience of problem-solving issues in a dynamic/diverse, time sensitive environment
  • Experience investigating incidents, identification of root cause, and reporting objectively
  • Change management experience
  • Ability to develop effective and easy to use processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, through presentations and reporting, Bachelor's Degree, ideally in relevant Business or Legal fields
  • Commercial real estate / facilities management experience
  • Audit, Internal Audit, and/or Quality Management qualification or experience preferred
  • Six Sigma trained, and/or Process Management experience desirable, but not required
  • Second language a plus
