Regional Sales Director - Tindle Newspapers - Wales and Borders We are recruiting for a Regional Sales Director to lead our commercial activities in Tindle Newspapers Wales and Borders region with commercial responsibility for our print and digital brands in markets across Wales and Gloucestershire. This exciting commercial and leadership role will report direct to Tindle Newspapers Managing Director. Primary Tasks

  • To lead the Regional sales teams through innovation and example
  • Help create and deliver agreed commercial strategies across respective regions
  • Have direct relationships with key customers and to be involved in the negotiation and development of key accounts
  • Ensure successful delivery of sales targets
  • Manage, support and coach members of the commercial team to achieve objectives and sales targets
  • Lead on the increased adoption of sale of digital advertising and multimedia inventory across portfolio
  • Manage all Health & Safety compliance and employee well being, Lead commercial teams to achieve regional sales targets through both traditional and new platforms
  • Implement new initiatives, which increase revenue across both existing and new platforms
  • Help the sales team in adoption of the adoption and implementation of the Gemstone booking and CRM system and use this to manager sales teams
  • To know and meet with the top 10 key regional customers with aim of maintaining and developing business relationships
  • Drive activity at a local level to develop and grow existing customer relationship and achieve new ones.
  • Participate with the senior management team, playing a full role in helping deliver the Group s commercial goals.
  • Help develop individual and team sales skills, core competencies, and the knowledge of the sales teams through dual calling and coaching
  • Lead the commercial team on annual and ad hoc seminar sales and Business Club programme
  • Manage the performance of the commercial teams, in line with the Group s expectations and guidelines setting out expected values and behaviour
  • To act as regional advocate for Group initiatives and principles and share best practice and examples with other peer managers
  • Working with other Regional Editors and Sales Managers to share best practice, knowledge and to ensure that there is appropriate collaboration within regions and across the Group more broadly
  • Remain informed and aware of new concepts and be reactive to both internal and external initiatives which create commercial benefits to our organisation.
