Reporting to the General Manager - Sales and Rental Location Operations, the Regional Sales and Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting Rental Locations to develop and execute their rental proposition in the market place whilst achieving corporate sales and ensuring the Business Plans are met and the locations are profitable. Through use of highly effective networking skills, the role will develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, securing referrals and recommendations through proactive self-generation of leads; working closely with appointed prospecting agencies to secure incremental business for VWFS Rent-a-Car in order to deliver sales targets. - Achieve sales, profit and objectives in line with budgets with the General Manager Sales and Rental Location Operations for both new and existing Local Corporate Rental customers
- Review and analyse locations performance against business plans whilst investigating any variances within the profit & loss and make recommendations to the General Manager - Sales and Rental Location Operations
- Secure and develop new and existing Local Corporate and National Corporate business using established tariffs and SLA's specific to each client in-line with pricing policy
- Create annual Business Plans bespoke for each Rental Location
- Maintain regular visits to Rental Centres to ensure the core programme is being utilised and developed to drive best practice
- Obtain, review and offer recommendations to Rental Centres regarding monthly performance data relating to fleet size, mix, utilisation and rental revenue
- Support Location Rental Managers on rental development for Corporate business and provide a regular point of contact to address any operational issues and drive opportunities
- Implement customer and sales channel strategies across key Mobility channels including Corporate, Retail, Replacement vehicles, Web bookings and Social Media
- Review ongoing marketing campaigns and advertising to support programmes and make marketing recommendations for improvement
- Examine enquiry logs at visits and advise how to improve productivity
- Identify any escalation issues and support the Rental Centres to provide positive outcomes
- Achieve client retention through delivering a high quality level of customer service with tangible customer value benefits
- Provide regular sales, activity and pipeline reports to ensure visibility of convertible business
- Implement and on-board new Corporate clients including, data capture, SLA's, customer reviews
- Execute established pricing strategies for Group product opportunities and Corporate customer accounts where appropriate
- Provide Corporate Customer support and resolution of complaints in line with compliance and company policy
- Build relationships with the wider Fleet Sales and Marketing Team to maximise sales opportunities and with our telemarketing agency for lead generation
- Maintain Salesforce, ensuring that all customer record cards are accurate and up to date, all sales activity is recorded and opportunity pipeline with visibility of renewal and incremental won and lost business outcomes completed
- Keep up to date with any environmental, legal, economic, political developments directly impacting Corporate rental business in the Mobility Sector
You will have proven experience of: - Rental Management Experience (essential)
- Appropriate experience of sales within the fleet / rental industry (ideal)
- Experience of operating within a new business environment with a track record of establishing effective relationships with new customers
- Sales and customer management experience
- Proven experience of influencing key stakeholders
- Corporate Account management experience
- Complaint handling experience Demonstrable skills and behaviours required are:
