Registered Childrens Home Manager (11 - 18 EBD)

We have a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Manager, or Assistant Manager looking for the next level in their career progression, to become the Registered Manager of our 3-bedded Children's Home in our other Harlow, Essex home.

Era Care Ltd provide residential childcare for 11-18 year olds, with emotional and behavioural difficulties the Registered Manager is required to lead and manage and operate the home in line with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, as well as following company policies and procedures.

You must have a minimum of two years experience working with children in a residential setting (within the last five years) and at least one year of working at supervisory level. You will have a passion for improving the life outcomes for vulnerable young people and experienced in supervising, guiding and supporting staff, managing budgets and completing detailed and analytical reports.

Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of The Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, as well as The Children's Act 1989 and all other relevant Legislation\and guidance, to operate the home to a Good/Outstanding Ofsted grading.

You should either hold, or be willing to work towards the QCF5 Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and hold a full UK manual driving licence. Being motivated, flexible and having a strong sense of responsibility are essential.

Our Registered Managers hours of work are 9am to 5pm Monday-Friday, plus a rotational out of hours on-call service. The position is on a permanent full-time (40 hours per week) basis.
