Full Job Description

  • To lead the team as an exemplar of dementia best practice, providing quality care and support services for people with dementia and their family members/ carers

  • To be accountable and responsible for key performance indicators relating to the quality, compliance and viability of services in the locality.


  • To develop a culture of strong customer focus that demonstrates a personalised approach to individual`s needs and aspirations.


  • To deliver strong financial performance for the service that enables GreenSquareAccord to deliver commercial and social objectives.


  • To utilise tools to manage the financial spend and occupancy effectively.


  • To work with the Head of Service in developing the service model to meet changing customer needs, commissioning intentions and the financial and contracting landscape.


  • To participate in projects within the locality and the wider C&S department, to support the business delivery as identified by the Head of Service and SMG as priority areas of remodelling/mobilisation and development as assigned.


  • To be based in an office within the locality area, but will be required to travel across the whole locality area and across the wider regional geography covered by GreenSquareAccord.

  • Occasional attendance at events outside of the region will be required.

  • Full Driving License (or ability to travel), business insurance and enhanced DBS disclosure required.

  • There may be a requirement for you to work unsociable hours, including evening or occasional weekend work to meet the needs of the business.

  • To participate in the out of hours rota, as required.

    Knowledge and experience of managing a care large care home for older adults-minimum 3 years experience

  • Professional Social or Health Care Qualification equivalent-QCF level 4 and above

  • Knowledge and experience of supporting people to live with dementia and associated conditions

  • Experience of managing services to high quality and performance standards

  • Experience of managing care services with a combination of both LA and privately funded customers

  • Experience of managing and leading teams

  • Experience of budgetary management and analysing financial performance

  • Understanding of regulatory best practice direction in health, social care

  • Proficient business use of MS/ teams software

  • Understanding of current public sector commissioning strategies/processes and key drivers for change
