Full Job Description

The role will support the Specialist Diabetes team in providing a high standard of individualised nursing care and ensure a quality service is delivered to in patients with Diabetes their careers and their families in accordance with agreed policies.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 to support the management of inpatients with diabetes. You will be keen, motivated, and punctual.

Experience is desirable, but not essential. Training and support will be provided.

The candidate will provide support and education to patients with Diabetes.

Good communication skills are essential to ensuring patients and HCP's receive clear, concise information.

The candidate will have effective organisational skills, the ability to adapt to various clinical situations and show empathy in their approach to patients.

Good teamwork, including trust values in your every day work is essential

The hours are 28 hours a week, ideally we would like the candidate to work 4 shift of 7 hours. The majority of the work will be Monday to Friday but there may be a requirement to support the service on a weekend or bank holiday.

Candidates must be flexible around working patterns and work effectively and efficiently within a small team

We provide care and support to over a million people in Wakefield and Kirklees in their homes, community settings and across our three hospital sites at Pontefract, Dewsbury and Pinderfields (Wakefield).
