Full Job Description

We are looking for applications from enthusiastic, experienced and flexible Nurses, who are interested in enhancing their knowledge within our Outpatient Department at Forest of Dean Community Hospital. The post involves working over a five day week. Shifts will be allocated depending on the Clinical need. The post is an ideal opportunity for those who wish to develop their careers in a friendly multidisciplinary team environment. If you are passionate about providing care closer to home whilst working in an integrated way with our partners in Health and Social Care, we would love to hear from you., Perform and record clinical observations including blood pressure, temperature, respirations, pulse

  • Undertake clinical tasks including venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs - appropriate to competence and setting
  • Demonstrate understanding of caring for individuals with particular conditions for example dementia, mental illness, learning disabilities
  • Engage in reflective practice including management of self and reflection on own reactions, asking questions and reflecting on answers given
  • Signposting patients to services which may be of benefit to their wellbeing, promoting community connections and make best use of local assets.
  • To administer medications in accordance with NMC code.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of clinical audit and clinical effectiveness
