Are you a Registered Nurse or a Student Nurse qualifying in the next 6 months? At Hillingdon Hospital we are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic nurses to join our friendly multidisciplinary team & help us to continue provide high quality patient centred care. This is an exciting opportunity for registered nurses with post qualification experience or Student Nurses about to qualify in the next 6 months to be part of our dedicated Critical Care workforce. Critical Care Nursing is a highly skilled and compassionate healthcare profession responsible for providing specialised nursing care to critically ill patients. Critical Care Nurses play a crucial role in monitoring, assessing, and managing patients with life-threatening conditions.

  • To be a safe and effective practitioner able to provide high quality nursing care to patients and support to their loved ones
  • To work with support, within a multi-disciplinary team to provide continuing care to a specified group of patients from admission to discharge
  • To supervise and develop other members of staff and learners as appropriate
  • To maintain own personal development with support, We are looking for nurses with a desire to succeed in a busy, challenging, and exciting environment. You will be self-motivated individual with a willingness to learn and succeed in a challenging environment. You will be an advocate for your patients, with good communication skills and a willingness to develop your nursing skills in a challenging environment.
  • You will join our team in our General Intensive Care unit who care for patients from diverse specialties. This incorporates emergencies, planned elective care and long-term rehabilitation for critically dependent patients. We have a shared culture on inclusiveness within our unit and work collaboratively with our large multi-disciplinary team including medical staff, therapists, dietitians, pharmacy, speech and language, research and SNOD's to provide excellent care for our patients To deliver high quality, effective and compassionate individualised health care to all critically ill patients and their families. You will work as part of a team supporting and developing colleagues whilst contributing to the efficient and effective operation of the department. You will always role model the Trust CARES values. You will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team by using professional judgement and assuming responsibility and accountability for assessing, implementing and evaluating clinical care for patients to meet their needs in a safe caring environment that promotes dignity, privacy and respect.

    The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
