Full Job Description

As our registered nurse, you will undertaking basic ward duties, overseeing the new patient admissions, ensuring key documentation is completed and introducing them to the care team looking after them.

All of our work is planned so you will be able to plan your week with ease knowing your work schedule wont change.

Your sound clinical and infection control knowledge combined with your ability to solve problems and think both literally and laterally will enable you to coach and support others in your team.

We encourage sharing of best practice across our site to develop your skills and take advantage of our excellent clinical leadership knowledge.

You will liaise with the wider Practice Plus Group medical team to ensure the patients treatment is carried out whilst maintaining the principles of patient confidentiality.

  • Recent post registration experience

  • Recent experience in a surgical ward, preferably across different specialities

  • Clinical skills in performing ECG;s, venepuncture and IV drug administration (Desirable), Level 1 Registered Nurse

  • Relevant post registration experience

  • ILS (or willingness to undertake

  • Recent post registration experience

  • Recent experience in a surgical ward, preferably across different specialities

  • Evidence of ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

  • Ability to plan and prioritise own and others workloads when under pressure

  • Ability to manage change effectively

  • Ability to lead a team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer literate

  • Good understanding of infection control

  • Evidence of higher education

  • Teaching qualification

  • Clinical skills in performing ECG;s, venepuncture and IV drug administration

  • Knowledge / experience of clinical supervision

  • Knowledge of research / audit skills

  • Participation in business planning and budgeting

    This role is a permanent role with a full-time equivalent salary of up to £35,112 per annum., A full-time equivalent salary of up to £35,112 per annum (pro-rata for part time hours)
