Full Job Description

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and dynamic registered nurse to join our Gynaecology Outpatients team. This role is perfect for someone who is highly motivated, proactive, and compassionate, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care alongside our skilled gynaecology professionals. You will play an essential role in supporting the needs of patients, their families, and the wider healthcare team.

Applicants must be team-oriented, adaptable, and ready to embrace change and innovation in line with the organisation's goals. This position is full time, offering a great opportunity to join a busy, fast-paced outpatient department.

We are seeking enthusiastic, hardworking nurses with the knowledge, skills, and passion to excel in this environment. The role involves assisting clinicians with outpatient clinic as well as providing support for 10 ambulatory sessions per week, including hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, uro-gynaecology procedures, and outpatient clinics.

Main duties of the job

Provide basic, intermediate and advanced patient care of the highest standard; taking into account own training and competence.

Ensure that all nursing records and documents are completed accurately and legibly.

Follow local and national guidelines, protocols & policies in regards to Infection Prevention & Control. Challenge peers and colleagues who do not follow these. Ensure all areas are observed with cleanliness.

Take part in maintaining agreed standards for ward cleanliness. Assist with Infection Control checks and audits.

Keeps accurate record of patient care according to Trust Policy and the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Acts as or provides suitably trained persons to act as chaperones at the request of patients and staff.

Develop the assessment, development, implementation and delivery of agreed standard of nursing care.

Use appropriate pathways in clinical procedures in clinic , WHO check list

Assist in developing innovative practices using a research-based approach. Support change projects

Manage the clinical area in the absence of more senior staff

Ensures safe storage, use and administration of all medicines and substances according to local policy.
