Full Job Description

35.75 hours per week, worked over 3 nights over 7 days including 1 extra shift per month totaling 13 shifts over 4 weeks.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our IPU Team to work the night shift.

We are welcoming candidates looking for a truly rewarding position, who want to deliver the highest quality of care and demonstrate our Hospice Values, and are keen to join a caring, compassionate and diverse multi-disciplinary team.

It is desirable, but not essential for you to have any previous palliative or oncology care experience, as you will receive a full induction and ongoing support.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the assessment of patient needs, planning, delivering and evaluating patient care playing an active role within our team. It's all about giving our patients the best possible quality of life, the support we offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs. With an attractive staff to patient ratio, this is an opportunity to make a real difference to individualised patient care.

To be successful you will need to be a Registered Nurse able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team, use initiative and have excellent communication skills.

Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24 hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease, caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and respect for peoples wishes.We have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy.
