Full Job Description

We have exciting opportunities for qualified and NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse or RNLD with Mental Health experience to join our team at Jubilee Mews.

You will be joining a team of 6 Staff Nurses, 5 Support Workers, headed up by a Service Manager and Clinical Lead who are both RMNs. You will be working in a specialist rehabilitation and recovery unit in Gosforth, supporting up to 8 males and 4 females. You will have a maximum case load of two Service Users and will be responsible for liaising with the wider MDT to complete assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation of their care and support. We accept referrals from Acute Assessment Wards, Forensic Services and Prisons. Our main focus is to support Service Users to move into their own accommodation or Step Down Support.

We work in the least restrictive way and collaborate closely with the individual and other professionals to offer just enough support, so that people can take the risks they need to in order to reach their potential, flourish in life and transition into a community setting.

Facilities-wise, if you were to walk past both services, you probably wouldnt notice that they are CQC-registered nursing services. They are both groups of detached houses, with staff annexes nearby and the houses are fully furnished with all modern conveniences. Also all residents have their own key to the front door and to their bedroom.

  • Are an NMC Registered Mental Health with a valid Pin or a RNLD with relevant Mental health experience

  • We welcome applications from newly qualified Mental Health nurses

  • Experience of working with people who have complex mental health problems and who can present with behaviours that challenge

  • Can demonstrate an empathic attitude and can keep our values at the heart of what you do

  • Flexibility - shift patterns do include weekends and nights, and you may need to work at either service based on the service needs

We are proud to have been recognised and certified as a Great Place to Work, which speaks volumes on how much we value our staff members. In return for the hard work and dedication from our teams, we offer the following benefits:
