Full Job Description

The Stepdown Unit is a 20 bedded unit for level 1 critical care surgical patients. The patient caseload encompasses all surgical specialities including General Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, ENT etc. The unit is anaesthetic lead with close involvement from the Surgical Teams with daily input from all areas of the MDT. The successful candidate should be highly motivated, a good team worker and keen to learn.

  • Current NMC Registration
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Some surgical knowledge / experience would be preferable.
  • Able to manage your own workload.
  • Induction and training will be provided so experience in critical care is not essential.
