An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the ward 11 team at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Ward 11 is a 25 bedded Acute Stroke unit (ASU) and medial ward overseeing the treatment of adults of all ages. If you are a band 5 nurse seeking experience in a different field we are interested to meet you as we believe this is a great next step for you to develop your nursing career in stroke care. All patients are managed in the ASU during the acute phase or post thrombolysis following their stroke and remain in acute care for 48-72hours until stabilised and then commence their rehabilitation. The unit works closely with Emergency Department and the stroke specialist nurses. The ASU provides a complete multi-disciplinary team approach with all relevant therapies being based within the ward to allow smooth transition of care and collaborative working at its best., The post holder is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced-based nursing care, working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. Assist in the management and organisation of their clinical area and participating in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
