Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to work on Puffin Ward at the Royal Derby Hospital.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated registered children's nurse to work within our Paediatric Ward,

The ward is set up with up to 15 beds caring from 0-18 years both medical, surgical and mental health.

The post will involve a variety of shifts over a 7 days week including bank holidays, rotating between night and day shifts.

Our paediatric department provides inpatient paediatric services for 0-18 years.

The department has a committed philosophy of Family Centred Care where parents/carers are actively encouraged to be involved in their baby/child's care with support and education from the nursing staff.

We are for a range of conditions, medical surgical and mental health. Currently, we have 12 beds opened up to 15 if demand requires. We work closely with the emergency department.

Applicants must hold RSCN or RN child branch qualification & should hold RSCN qualification and have paediatric experience.

We will support you through a wide range of in-house study days and training, we work very closely with our clinical educators to enhance learning.
