About us Our small animal practice, located in a prime spot, features cutting-edge equipment, including an In-house laboratory, separate dog and cat wards, Isolation ward, Digital X-Ray (standard and dental), Ultrasound, ECG, Blood pressure, Ultrasonic dental equipment, and Class 4 laser. Working alongside 3 vets, 4 Nurses (1 Head RVN, currently on maternity leave returning in March, 1 RVN and 2 SVN's), our practice manager, and reception team, you'll be an integral part of a practice that adheres to the RCVS practice standards scheme, holds the ISFM silver cat-friendly clinic accreditation, and supportive mental health first aiders. At Clifton Vets4Pets, we empower our nurses to utilize their skills fully, from admitting cases to in-patient care and anaesthesia through to discharge. We actively support CPD, including training in schedule 3 procedures. Specific interests like inpatient care, diagnostic lab work, and medical and surgical nursing are highly encouraged.

To join our team, bring your good general nursing experience, excellent customer service skills, and a genuine passion for animal welfare. For this role you will need a minimum of 2 years experience as an RVN, and ideally you will be a clinical coach although this isn't essential! You'll be helping with the daily running of the practice to ensure a high standard care for Patients and Clients. Nurses are the heart of our practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. You'll have great communication and organisation skills and take pride in working to a high standard. You will have an interest in and want to learn about, the practice as a business, as well as how to motivate a team to achieve their personal and practice goals. They key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.

This role is working full time with only 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am - 1pm) which will go down to 1 in 4 in April once our Head Nurse returns from maternity leave. Your shifts during the week will be 4 full days and 1 half day, consisting of the following

  • x2 9 hour shifts
  • x2 7.5 hour shifts
  • x1 5 hour shift
  • On your late shifts we close our doors at 6pm but ensure everyone is paid until 6:30pm In return for your dedication, we offer:
