Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Registrar of Birth, Deaths and Marriages to join the Tameside Registration Services team working as part of a team of experienced staff dealing with the registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages and to carrying out all related duties and responsibilities in compliance with the Registration Acts. .
The role involves working at different locations across the borough. Contractual weekend and Bank Holiday work is required to attend marriages and civil partnerships. On-call weekend cover for call out is also required on a rota basis in this role; therefore a flexible approach is vital.
The successful candidate should have proven experience of providing customer service, experience of working within strict regulations and legislation, be IT competent have experience of working in a team and have and an exceptional attention to detail.
The successful candidate will need confidence in addressing large numbers of people. You will be expected to act as Deputy Superintendent Registrar and will perform marriage and civil partnership ceremonies and also conduct citizenship ceremonies., Our employees' skills, experience and knowledge are essential to our success along with their happiness, wellbeing, commitment, enthusiasm and motivation to be the best they can be.
