Full Job Description
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring new and existing staff are correctly registered onto the Care Identity Management (CIM) and are issued with a NHS CIM Smartcard in a timely manner. They will also be responsible for providing support and advice to managers on the Registration Authority (RA) process, ensuring robust identity checks are carried out for employees requiring access to NHS Care Identity Management (NHS CIM) applications and others.,
- To register staff and print and issue smartcards in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- To be familiar with and adhere to 'Registration Authorities Operational Process and Guidance' and 'Registration Authorities: Governance Arrangements for NHS Organisations'.
- To ensure identity for all users is checked to the required standard.
- To ensure all personal details are kept up to date in all systems relating to Registration Authority.
- To allocate the appropriate access to each user.
- To work with the HR team to ensure Smartcards are updated when staff roles change or when Smartcard access is to be removed.
- To work within the remit of the Data Protection Act in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of personal identifiable information, · To be responsible for ensuring new and existing staff are correctly registered onto the Care Identity Management (CIM) and are issued with a NHS CRS Smartcard in a timely manner. · To provide support and advice to managers on the Registration Authority (RA) process, ensuring robust identity checks are carried out for employees requiring access to Care Identity Management (CIM) applications and others. · To assist the Registration Authority Manager with the new technical solutions, Care Identity Management (CIM)and the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) Interface, ensuring new processes are put in place to enable the management of access control via a single point of entry. · To implement and maintain the Registration Authority function help desk, ensuring queries are answered and resolved in a timely manner to all levels of staff, reporting issues to T. when required. · To offer support and advice on the RA process to the HR team and managers within the Trust.
- Educated to "A" Level standard or equivalent., A computer- science qualification., Proven organisational, planning and communication skills
- Perform accurate and auditable data entry
- Ability to problem solve at point of contact with End- Users
- Knowledge of ESR / RA systems, Demonstrable experience of working with a variety of users at all levels within an organisation
- Demonstrable experience of engaging with a variety of professionals across multiple organisation and varying environments
- Demonstrable experience of Microsoft Office skills (including Microsoft project)
- Knowledge of and experience in Support/IT role
- Knowledge of NHS Trusts and their structures and management
- Knowledge of Data Protection Act requirements, Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to facilitate registrations when necessary, Willingness and ability to travel throughout the geographical area
