Full Job Description

We are looking for a Registration and Notifications Advisor to join us in a key role within our Registrations team.
As a Registration and Notifications Advisor, you will work to deliver effective assessment and casework management of registration applications submitted, in line with published timescales and registration criteria.
The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) regulates for a viable, efficient, and well governed social housing sector able to deliver quality homes and services for current and future tenants. Since the 1st April our remit has been extended giving us additional powers and responsibilities around the importance of safe, decent homes for social housing tenants and on landlord transparency and accountability. As a result, this is a great time to join us and help us shape the organisation., You will assess applications against registration criteria, advising applicants where further assurance is needed and will make recommendations for next steps, providing technical advice and support of constitutional and governance issues, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and that casework progresses in a timely manner.
As well as having your own portfolio of casework, you will also work with our Senior Registrations Advisors, utilising risked based assessments to review eligibility for registration., We carry out anonymous shortlisting as part of our commitment to Equality and Diversity and ensuring a fair and consistent approach to recruitment.

As the successful candidate, you should be used to delivering results and making evidenced based recommendations which support effective decision making in a regulatory, financial or assurance-based environment.
You will have the ability to digest a wide range of complex material and experience of producing written and oral briefing that draws out the key issues and risks. You will be able to combine these skills with the ability to develop and manage effective stakeholder relationships at a range of levels with applicants, advisors, and external agencies as well as having effective influencing skills and resilience to deal with challenging situations., Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.

Location
We operate a hybrid model of working with a mix of office and home working.
This role can be based out of any of RSH’s core offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. Our Manchester office will be relocating during 2024/25, however will remain within the city centre. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements and staff can benefit from working from home for part of their hours. Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, with some roles also involving onsite visits to social housing providers.

The salary for this role is a spot salary within the given range, which will normally be the minimum of the range. There is no incremental progression through a pay scale. Annual salary reviews are determined by the government pay award. In addition, when the probation period is successfully completed, a performance related bonus may be awarded, based on appraisal ratings at the end of the qualifying appraisal year.
