Full Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Council's housing register, whilst providing a transparent service in line with with the Council's policies and procedures and are compliant with relevant housing legislation.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional and strong team player who is committed to learning and able to step up to the challenge of providing an effective customer driven service., The successful candidate should have a good understanding of the housing act Part Vl 1996 and social housing allocations legislation and policy. A good understanding of issues affecting social housing.

An understanding of the housing registration system and experience of working within housing environment. Good communication, written and customer service skills essential. Use of IT skills in an housing environment is essential.

Must have experience of working with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, in housing need and or living in unsatisfactory housing. Case management and an ability to adapt to a fast changing environment as well as being flexible and able to work under pressure to deliver outcomes in a sensitive manner.
