Full Job Description

  • Provide essential administrative support to the management team.
  • Take minutes and ensure smooth service operations.
  • Communicate professionally with key stakeholders, including service users, across various channels.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential issues with the utmost discretion.
  • Support health and safety protocols, including as a fire marshal and first aider.
  • Enter information into internal and government databases and systems.
  • Act as a Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths when needed, assisting customers with essential documentation.
  • Track fees, compile reports, and submit statistics and returns.

  • Special Conditions: Applicants must not be disqualified under the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages Regulations 1968 as amended. Specific disqualifications include bankruptcy, certain debt relief orders, being appointed to a council or committee with responsibility for recruiting registration officers , and conflicts of interest with other professional roles e.g. working in a bereavement role or as a midwife.
