Full Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to work in the Regulated Placements Team in Student Life at Staffordshire University. The successful applicant will provide administrative support for practice and placement learning for the Institute of Education. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, with a willingness to develop skills further is essential. Key aspects of the role will involve the management and tracking of data and contact with schools and colleges within our partnership. You will have experience in a previous administrative role or relevant experience in an education setting with transferable skills and a good level of literacy and numeracy. Self-confidence, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent organisational skills are important aspects of this role. Main Responsibilities The main responsibilities for our Regulated Placements Administrator will be to:

  • Maintain accurate electronic records to support the practice learning provision, including the allocation and tracking of placements.
  • Provide effective administrative support and coordination for tracking and monitoring students' occupational health, DBS, and reasonable adjustments.
  • Operate the University student placements and student records systems in relation to relevant courses.
  • To liaise with placement providers and relevant professional / voluntary / statutory bodies regarding placement and student records.
  • To liaise with students, making enquiries as necessary and as directed and offering signposting and referral to support services.
  • To liaise with the external stakeholders, suppliers and practice partners on practice learning administration matters to maintain accurate data and positive working relationships.
