Full Job Description

Lotus Cars Limited is the manufacturing site of Lotus in the UK. Here we produce all sportscars types such as the Emira and the Evija. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Regulatory Lead Engineer - Type Approval in the Type Approval Department to join us in our manufacturing plant based in Hethel., The ideal candidate will mainly be required to monitor and collate legislative changes, own the legislation Roadmap (10 year plan) & deliver new legislative information to Engineers. What You'll Do:

  • Support the new model life cycle PDD requirements of legislative deliverables.
  • Supporting new product planning.
  • World market regulation updates.
  • Deliver Legislative Training.
  • Liaise with in -market reps.
  • Deliver Legislative Training.
  • Support Engineering BICEP SME's.
  • Manage Legislative drop in sessions.
  • Attend Working groups and Industry body events (SMMT/ESCA).
  • Support in market vehicle TA updates.
  • Manage the CoC database.

    Automotive Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Proven experience with global Regulations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of future global Regulations.
  • Ability to extract relevant information from complex Regulations.
  • Ability to present relevant information in a concise manner to stake holders.
  • Proven experience of attending working groups and industry body events.
  • Proven planning and coordination skills.
  • Excellent Legislative compliance experience.
  • Demonstrated involvement in product lifecycle or Type Approval planning.
  • High levels of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Functional safety.
  • Knowledge of Cyber security and software updates.
  • Knowledge of ADAS Systems.
