Full Job Description

This role is part of the UK Finance team, crucial for meeting external regulatory obligations and preparing group management accounts. Based in our London office, you'll work closely with the finance team in a fast-paced environment that offers abundant learning opportunities. The Regulatory and Management Accountant will also collaborate with stakeholders across the business as needed., As a Regulatory and Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Ownership of RegData reporting

  • Working alongside the management accountant in the preparation of month end management information and financial analysis, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis

  • Preparation of other financial reports throughout the month, such as revenue reporting

  • Coordination and support of the annual external audit and, when required, quarterly interim audits of the Group companies, being a point of contact and aiding with issue resolution during that time

  • Assisting with the interim and year-end financial reporting timetables, monitor progress and drive action to deliver against key milestones and completion of the annual report and accounts

  • Preparation of working and technical accounting papers for external auditors

  • Assistance in the production of the Group's strategic reports

  • Offering contribution in the production of the ICARA, including forecasting, stress testing and the wind-down plan

  • Assisting the credit analyst to assess market risk when calculating the credit facility for clients

  • Driving continuous improvement and automation by implementing new processes as well as internal controls to incorporate evolving business needs and reporting requirements

  • Other duties as may be required including ad hoc project work, for example R&D and transfer pricing.


  • This role is primarily office-based, with the option for some remote work after a successful probation period, depending on business needs.

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified with ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience in producing statutory accounts (entity or consolidated) is required, with UK GAAP experience preferred

  • Good experience of RegData regulatory reporting is required

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a financial reporting environment, either within the accountancy profession or in industry. Financial services experience will be strongly advantageous

  • Strong organisational skills, including ability to prioritise own workload under pressure to tight deadlines; resilient and able to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously

  • Excellent analytical skills and very high level of attention to detail Enjoy working in a team and an enthusiastic, positive attitude.
