Full Job Description
The aim of the team is to provide high quality care that includes prevention, rehabilitation and review for people living with a long term condition in order to enable and empower them to maximise their independence in the community. Our staff cooperate well with local specialist services e.g. community mental health services, and social services as required to do so.
The successful applicant will be committed to assisting therapists to deliver high quality, evidence based interventions, with a view to supporting patients to attain their chosen goals. You will work in group settings, in patients' homes, and with patients individually in our therapy gym.
The post will require lone working, and a mature approach to organising your workload. The successful applicant should demonstrate a flexible, innovative and enthusiastic approach; effective communication skills; ability to work well with colleagues; professional commitment; and ability to work extended hours and weekends. You will receive excellent in- house training and external training opportunities; regular clinical supervision; peer support and our support with your continuing professional development.

The Community Therapy Team (for Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch) at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant.
The successful candidate will support Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists providing and delivering rehabilitation interventions to adults in the community.
There is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week available. This post will mainly be based within the Christchurch side of the team.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
