Full Job Description

Deliver care in a manner sensitive to individuals needs and wishes, acknowledging and respecting their rights, individual values, cultural and religious diversity at all times. Be competent with the use of and appropriately use sensitive medical equipment, e.g. ventilators, humidifiers, environmental controls, etc. The post-holder will be required to maintain an understanding and overview of health processes and procedures affecting SCI patients. As well as an awareness of social care issues. Contribute to development of patient care by attending relevant team, departmental or clinical/Multi-disciplinary team meetings and comment on recommended changes to clinical care or service provision. Be proactive in evaluating current service and contribute plans for improvement of service offered. In conjunction with SCIC team members undertake medium and long term planning for the Rehabilitation Assistant service. Encourage a co-operative and collaborative working relationship with the
multi-disciplinary team and attend multi-disciplinary meetings as appropriate Conduct practical assessments of care requirements of patients as requested by members of the multi-disciplinary team. Be an effective team member, respecting the work of others and representing the role suitably at all times. Adhere to all Trust policies and procedures relevant to your position
