To work alongside the established Major Trauma therapy team to provide comprehensive rehabilitation to patients within the Major Trauma Centre

The therapy team within the Major Trauma Centre are a cohesive team that work together to improve the outcomes for Major Trauma patients

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced support worker to join our Therapy team within the Major Trauma Centre at the University Hospital of Wales.

Working as part of a dynamic team comprising of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Dieticians and Speech and Language Therapists, you will bedelivering early rehabilitation programmes to patients within the polytrauma ward and across the major trauma service at the University Hospital of Wales.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate an interest in rehabilitation. Excellent communication skills are key in this newly developed role. It is important that you are a team player with a positive outlook, enthusiasm and ability to learn and develop new skills. Previous experience in rehabilitation in the acute hospital setting would be advantageous.

The post holder will be required to work a 7 day job plan to support the delivery of a 7 day Physiotherapy service to the Polytrauma ward.

A full and comprehensive training programme will be available.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
