Full Job Description

As an RRA you will assist clients in a range of daily living tasks, for example with transfers, mobility, washing and dressing, toileting, household tasks, meal preparation, social activity and access to the community. You will work to a rehabilitation philosophy empowering individuals to meet their personalised goals enabling them to be as independent as possible. With an understanding and implementation of safe moving and handling you will promote health and safety for service users working jointly and effectively with other professionals within the MDT including nurses, OT's and physiotherapist. You will report promptly and discuss significant changes in service users to appropriate professionals. You will be patient and have an understanding of the needs of the client group, promoting and supporting individuals' rights and choices as well as being able to sensitively assist service users to maintain their independence. You will be need to accurately report and record information so you will need literacy and numeracy skills to enable you to do this. You will have well developed communication skills and the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for this post. Flexible and adaptable in order to meet the needs of the service you will be able to maintain confidentiality and be able to work as an effective team member. Salary: Band: 4, £24,420 p.a. plus a shift allowance (if applicable) Hours: 37 hours, including early, late and weekend shifts (although part time hours would be considered - if applying for part time please state on your application the hours you would be available for).
