Undertaking a range of duties to support the Client, you will work closely with other members of the team in providing the highest standards of health care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, backed by previous health care experience (preferred), however full training will be given to those with the right approach and attitude The post requires that you work independently to a very great extent. The post therefore requires that you work and conduct yourself in a manner that is acceptable to the employer. Reliability, integrity and complete trustworthiness are essential attributes in this post. Client: Male Age: 55 Our Client suffered a spinal injury as a result of a road traffic accident and is now somewhat dependent and requires assistance for all activities and requires some personal care. The client has a purposely adapted vehicle to enable carers to take him out in the community. Carers will be expected to cover all hours (24/7) in rotation and holidays and sickness periods of other care team members. Shifts: 08:00 - 21:00 + Sleep in shift finish time 08:00. Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the workplace.
- Promote effective communication and relationships.
- Contribute to the protection of individuals from abuse.
- Enable clients to maintain their personal hygiene and appearance.
- Enable clients to participate in recreation and leisure activities.
- To establish and maintain a trusting, therapeutic, working relationship
- To be responsible for the clients personal welfare
- To provide personal care for the client, this will include personal hygiene
- To supervise activities in line with the care plan guidelines
- To contribute to all household duties including, cooking, cleaning, dusting, washing and ironing clothes
- To travel to hospitals or elsewhere for therapeutic care
- To travel for social or other activities
- To liaise with other agencies
- To complete daily records as advised including; time sheets, care plan summary and critical incidents, petty cash.
- Attend review meetings with the employer and other persons as nominated by the employer
- To attend training sessions as arranged, As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to clients, focusing on their individual needs and preferences. Reporting to the Care Manager, your role involves implementing care plans, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe environment. Your strong communication skills and experience in patient care will be vital in fostering positive relationships with clients. Additionally, a valid driving license is required to facilitate transportation for clients. - 42 hours per week on a rota basis. shift starts at 08:00- 21:00 hourly rate £15.00 per hour weekday, £16.00 weekend. Then into a sleep night from 21:00-08:00, £120 per sleep.
- The right candidate for the job will be expected to do 1 x 24 hour shift (including sleep night) then 3 days off on a rota basis. Overtime is available to cover holidays and sickness at a higher hourly rate.
Applicants must be over 25 years of age and hold a full clean driving licence, due to insurance requirements to drive the clients purposely adapted Vehicle. Must me ok with dogs & able to drive an Automatic Transit van. Experience of using moving & Handling Equipment is Essential. Interviews will be held face to face on Thursday 19th December
