Wordings Technician

We are looking for a Wording Technician to join our Reinsurance Solution practice in London! This is your chance to be part of a dynamic team of reinsurance professionals at a top-tier practice. What the day will look like

As part of Aon's Reinsurance Solutions Contracts team, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and finalising formal documentation memorialising terms and conditions applicable to treaty reinsurance agreements. You will be challenged to learn and remain well informed of industry terms and jargon, as well as trends and regulations to remain competitive.

  • Draft and review reinsurance contracts, attending documentation and related correspondence

  • Assist brokers, clients, and markets in resolving issues related to contract wording

  • Draft, review and endorse documentation for the London Market (London Slips)

  • Review contract documents for completeness, accuracy and consistency

  • Coordinate with broker colleagues to review reinsurance contract terms

  • Contribute to maintenance of library of clauses

  • Monitor statutory positions, regulatory guidelines, judicial decrees, current wording issues and industry trends affecting reinsurance contracts

  • Ensure that general processing and quality of assigned accounts complies with team guidelines

  • Participate in marketing presentations to prospective and existing clients

  • Gain industry knowledge by participating in industry training and mentoring programs

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Law graduate or experience in the industry, with proven knowledge of (re)insurance practices

  • Excellent written communication skills, including demonstrated/advanced competence in all facets of reading, writing and communicating in English

  • Strategic and analytical thinker, including basic math proficiency and problem solving

  • Detail oriented

  • Adaptable to other proprietary systems/applications as demonstrated by previous experience with other platforms

  • Nominal travel may be required
