Join our diverse team and make a significant impact in the financial industry. Mid Corporate is a Relationship Management business within Business and Commercial Banking. We're responsible for the overall management of client relationships whose turnover is between £25m - £200m. It's an exciting and wide-ranging segment spanning a variety of sectors and central to our purpose of Helping Britain Prosper. You'll be joining a successful diverse team which spans keys regions of the UK and enables significant opportunity for personal development and growth. What you'll be doing As the Relationship Director you'll work within our Mid Corporates business and help local businesses in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands area, by offering the funding, support, financial services, and the inspiration they need to grow. You'll be responsible for supporting a portfolio of clients as a strategic partner with all their banking needs including lending, deposits and a wide range of other banking services. There is an expectation to grow the portfolio, by attracting high quality and high value clients. You'd be an integral part of the local market, developing business opportunity, and representing the group in the professional and business community. You'll build and champion strong relationships with important individuals, both within and outside the organisation. Have a focus on developing yourself and well as those that you work with.

Prior experience in Corporate or Commercial banking and with an appetite to originate new business opportunities , you'll also need:

  • Relationship Skills - Proactive in developing relationships and building partnerships with customers passionate about supporting their current and future needs. Motivated to go above and beyond and strategizes with clients to deliver value to them and LBG. Keeps customers advised by providing valuable market and sector insight . Delivers on service commitments.
  • Influence - Excellent negotiation skills, particularly with external clients. The ability to think clearly and listen to clients/colleagues, influence decision making and to be flexible of points of discussion where appropriate.
  • Credit Analysis - Strong credit analysis skills and being able to assess, analyse and interpret financial and non financial information, client strategy and business operations and management teams. Ability to produce high quality credit applications and consider all issues, structuring considerations and risks before making recommendations.
  • Market Knowledge - Demonstrates substantial relevant market and product knowledge to lead Lloyds coverage of clients. Has a deep understanding of the trends and activities of clients within the region.
  • Collaboration - Good leadership and team working skills to both establish and lead informal teams and work as a team to deliver good outcomes for the client.
  • Communication - outstanding communicator to effectively collaborate with customers, colleagues and clients.
